What type of beans do you roast?
We roast 100% Colombian Arabica coffee beans, with the single exception of our Ethiopian Sidamo, a premium coffee that is offered on a limited basis throughout the year.
Do your coffees contain sugar?
No! All of our coffee is free of sugar. Rather than using sugar or artificial sweeteners, we instead flavor our coffee naturally by infusing warm, fresh-roasted beans with natural oils for a subtle but indulgent flavor.
Is your coffee considered a light, dark, or medium roast?
All PCCR coffees are considered medium roast.
Are your single-service cups Keurig compatible?
Yes, our single-serve cups are compatible with Keurig 2.0.
Do you offer sample packs?
Not at this time, though we are working on bringing sample pack options to you soon! Be sure to sign up for our email list to be the first to know when sample packs are available.
Storage & Preparation
How should I store my coffee?
Whether you’ve purchased whole bean, ground, or single-serve, we always recommend storing your coffee in a cool, dry place.
At PCCR, we intentionally package our 16 oz. coffees in kraft lined bags with degassing valves, in order to relieve the natural gases put off by the beans, ensuring that they stay fresher longer. When stored properly, unopened coffee on will remain fresh on the shelf for 5-6 months.
For optimal flavor and drinking experience, once opened, we recommend the following guidelines for consuming your coffee.
Ground Coffee: 7-10 days
Whole Bean Coffee: 3-4 weeks
Single Serve Cups: 3-4 months
How can I maintain freshness and ensure a delicious cup of coffee?
Proper storage and timely consumption are key to maintaining freshness and ensuring the unbeatable flavor of each and every cup you brew.
If ultimate freshness is what you’re after, we recommend purchasing PCCR coffee in our whole bean variety and grinding daily. The reason for this is that the moment that coffee is ground, it begins to oxidize which ultimately accelerates the aging process.
What brew methods do you recommend?
For best flavor, we recommend using 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every six ounces of water. The right brewing method often comes down to personal preference. We source and roast high-quality, 100% Colombian Arabica beans that have great versatility across many brewing devices, so we recommend experimenting with a variety of methods to find the one that best suits your taste and lifestyle.
